Objectives

The Foundation's main objectives are to:

  • Promote open access to information sources
  • Maintain an online Tamil digital library
  • Support digital preservation initiatives and promote efficient strategies for enhanced digital content creation and diffusion
  • Engage in awareness-raising campaigns on various issues such as digital preservation, information literacy and knowledge management
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer and foster research and development activities


Organizational details

The Board of Trustees, Associate members and many other volunteers contributes towards the activities of the Foundation. The Noolaham Board of Trustees is the ultimate corporate authority in the Foundation, and has the power to make strategic decisions.

The Advisory Board is a network of experts who have agreed to give the Noolaham Foundation meaningful help on a regular basis in many different areas. Their abilities, experience, and knowledge were selected for how they complement a particular Noolaham Foundation project, or the organization as a whole.
