Details
The Noolaham::Canada formation meeting was held at Country Style, Midland and Sheppard on Saturday 4th of June 2011 at 5 pm. The meeting was organized by Tamil Wikipedian Natkeeran Ledchumikanthan.
Noolaham well wishers and Tamil bloggers participated in this event. The meeting was attended by Sutharsan Srinivasan, Elanko Muttulingam, Yalini Yothilingam, Prashanth Srinivasan and Kieth Kumarasamy.
The main topics discussed during the meeting were:
- Obtaining permission from various Tamil periodicals in Canada to include their publications.
- Collecting Tamil books publishing in Canada.
- Collecting Tamil leaflets published by Canadian government.
- Starting a scanning center in Canada.
- Collecting and Archiving multimedia content (video, audio, photos etc) in Canada.
- Starting a blog or website to collect the above information.
- Researching technical possibilities for Noolaham::Canada.
- Initiating discussions with Village organizations - Temples and Old boys associations.
- Conducting Noolaham introductions in Canada.
- Organizing fundraising activities for Noolaham Foundation activities and Noolaham::Canada activities.
