இச்செயற்றிட்டமானது ஈழத்தின் மூத்த ஆளுமையான தி. ச வரதராசன் என்கிற  வரதரின்  ஆவணங்களை எண்ணிமப்படுத்தி நூலக வலைத்தளத்தில் வெளியிடுவதை நோக்கமாகக் கொண்டது. பல்வேறு துறைகளிலும் தடம் பதித்த  தி.ச வரதராசன் அவர்களது ஆவணங்களையும், அவரது சேகரிப்பில் காணப்பட்ட ஆவணங்களையும் ஆவணப்படுத்தலின் அவசியம் கருதி இச்செயற்றிட்டம் 2016இல் மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டது. இச்செயற்றிட்டத்தில் அவரது சஞ்சிகைகள், புகைப்படங்கள், நூல்கள் ஆவணப்படுத்தப்பட்டன.

Shanmugam Varatharasan (1924.07.01 - 2006.12.21), popularly known as Varathar, was a writer hailing from Ponnalai in Jaffna. His father’s name was Shanmugam. His mother’s name was Sinnathangam. He received his education from Ponnalai American Mission Tamil School, Moolai Saivapragasa Vidyalaya and Karainagar Subramaniya Vidyalaya. Starting his writing career at the age of 15 under the pseudonym Varathar, he left his mark in the genres of short story, modern poetry, novella, and in areas such as journalism and publishing. He was called a Renaissance writer in Eelam Literature.

Shanmugam Varatharasan (1924.07.01 - 2006.12.21), popularly known as Varathar, was a writer hailing from Ponnalai in Jaffna. His father’s name was Shanmugam. His mother’s name was Sinnathangam.
