Ransuthamalar Nanthakumar
Ransuthamalar Nanthakumar is the Chief Executive Officer of Noolaham Foundation.
She studied at the University of Jaffna in Bachelor degree in Business Administration specializing Finance and Accountancy and obtained her Master of Arts in Sociology at University of Kamaraj.
She obtained a Diploma in Counseling and Psychology at University of Ireland. Mrs. N. Ransuthamalar has more than 20 years International Non-Governmental and Non-Government working experience as a Program officer, Project Manager and Projects Consultant in conflict affected area.
In this role, she is overseeing all operation works with the Board of Directors of Noolaham Foundation and Staff of the Jaffna, Batticalo, and Upcountry offices.
She is located in Jaffna, Sri Lanka
Ponni Arasu
Dr. Ponni Arasu is the Research Manager of Noolaham Foundation.
She studied at Lady Shriram College for Women, Delhi University for her Bachelors (Honours)
in History, Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi for her Masters in History and the University of
Toronto for her PhD in History with a focus on Tamil Studies, South Asia Studies and
Women/Gender Studies.
She is a qualified lawyer with a Bachelors in Law from Bangalore University. She worked with
the Alterative Law Forum in Bangalore as a Human Rights Legal Practitioner and Researcher.
She is a trained actor who has been on the stage since the age of 12 and has been active in the
Tamil theatre context primarily with the Marappachi Feminist Theatre Collective in Chennai.
She has, for the past 15 years, worked with a range of institutions groups and collectives in
Batticaloa, Colombo, Chennai, Delhi, Bangalore and Toronto as a researcher, activist and artist.
She is currently affiliated to the Culinaria Research Institute at the University of Toronto,
Scarborough and the Open University of Sri Lanka as a Researcher in Sri Lanka.
In this role, she will create, build and establish scholarly research offices with Tamil-speaking
Sri Lankan researchers. She will help establish Noolaham as a grass-root level research
institution in Tamil Studies, South Asia Studies and other such international scholarly networks.
She will organize public scholarly engagements with Noolaham’s existing and emerging archival
collection.
Fathima Safna Mohamed Iqbal
Fathima Safna is the Program Manager of Noolaham Foundation.
She studied at the University of Jaffna in Bachelor Degree in Art History. She works in nearly 20 Projects under the Noolaham Foundation. She was a Temporary Assistant Lecturer from 2018-2019 & trained to curator at Galle museum. She has been writing “The Goldsmith tradition in Jaffna”.
She submitted conference papers Tradition and change : A reading on the Jewelry designs in Jaffna” “Islam and Architecture: Un spoken Architectural History of Meeran Mosque of Galle fort” & “Rural cultural Practice / Role of the Goldsmith in jewelry making tradition of Jaffna”, were the journals of her research.
She is located in Jaffna, Sri Lanka
Meuriy Gajendran
Meuriy Gajendran is the Digital Preservation Manager of Noolaham Foundation.
She is reading Higher Diploma in Library Science at Sri Lanka Library Association.
In 2016 she was selected as an Digital Preservation Officer in Noolaham Foundation,Sri Lanka.
In 2021 she was granted the promotion to the post of the Digital Preservation Manager of Noolaham Foundation.
She is located in Jaffna, Sri Lanka
