Mohamed Saakir was born in 1991 in Sammanthurai,Sri Lanka. He studied in St/Arafa Vidyalaya and St/MMMV (National School) and graduated in Medical Laboratory Sciences from the University of Jaffna, Srilanka. He is an Author, Antique Collector and a Laboratory Scientist. He published a book about local history in 2012 ( 'Toponymy of Sammathurai') and He is one of the main four authors of the editorial board of Concise History of Sammanthurai (Sammanthurai History and Legacy) which was published in 2019.
