Ampara is located 320 km from Colombo. Sinhalese, Tamils ​​and Muslims live in the city. Ampara district has four parliamentary constituencies namely Kalmunai, Sammanthurai, Pottuvil and Ampara. Ampara district is located along the Urogana region.
