Noolaham Foundation is the non‐profit, charitable foundation that facilitates Project Noolaham (PN) and operates other sub archives cum documentation projects.
Project Noolaham is a non‐profitable, collective and voluntary endeavor aimed at preserving Sri Lankan Tamil related publications and research papers in digital format in order to make them available to and for the benefit of all those who are able to access the internet. It was established by January 2005. The Model of the Noolaham Foundation was established in 2008, three years after the internet based archiving and documenting were commenced. The Model was aimed at building a long‐term future for Sri Lankan based Tamil digital library projects on the internet. The Foundation maintains the technical infrastructure and servers of PN.
The Foundation also manages programs that strive to archive every document concerning the Sri Lankan Tamils around the world. It is also responsible for conducting a range of fund raising activities.

Corporate detailsThe Noolaham Foundation Board of Trustees is the ultimate corporate authority in the Noolaham Foundation, and has the power to direct the activities of the Foundation. The Foundation bylaws may be seen at Noolaham Foundation bylaws. Other policies set by the Board may be seen at policies. The Foundation manages the budget, which pays primarily for computer equipment and hosting. Other costs include human resources necessary to the running of the Wikimedia projects, though most people are volunteers. The latest Board decisions may be found at resolutions. |
