Aparajithan is coordinator of Tamil Natural Language Processing Laboratory, Noolaham Foundation. Mainly works on language processing model for Tamil concentrating on open algorithms and mathematical models for Tamil.

Aparajthan was born in Jaffna. Sivanathan, Aparajithan is a researcher in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, UK. He is also working on his PhD focused on ubiquitous hardware and software architectures for multimodal data capture systems. His research interests include context aware environments, virtual reality and haptics. Prior to the current research work, he worked as an R&D embedded systems engineer for electronics manufacturing industry. He studied his high school at Jaffna Hindu College, graduated as a Mechanical Engineer from University of Moratuwa, and completed his Master’s Degree in Mechatronics at Kings College London.

Primarily inspired by the Mother Nature and the evolution of life, Aparajithan always tries to discover solutions for engineering problems from subtle human activities, animal behaviours and patterns in the nature.
